Can i have a network between to adapers?
Is this what the term "peer to peer" network means?
My DSL modem has an internet router built into it
would I need to get a Network router to do this?

Yes, with a crossover cable and the correct settings in windows. Hehe, sorry, I know it's possible but I don't know the settings required right off. Windows XP probably has a wizard for it :P

No. That's most commonly used for file sharing programs...

I assume you have bellsouth with their modem(or similar) From what I've read, all you need is a hub or switch and you should be good to go.
