Ok So i went out and bought a netgear wireless router so that i could setup a network with my existing desktop and now i am trying to get internet on my brand new HP laptop. I set up the router sucessfully and connected \my laptop to the network. My question is what do i have to do on my laptop so i can get internet on it, am i going to have to get comcast to send me another setup cd and install it or should i have internet through my broadband connect on my network just becuase i am connected to it? Thank you for your time......

First off, throw out all those darn CDs that come with routers, ISPs, and other crap like that. 99% of the time, they are just junk!
Now then, to get that laptop on the network, your router SHOULD do so totally automatically. Unless you setup some WEP or other security feature, it should see the router once your wifi's enabled. Worst case, you might have to click on your wireless icon in the task bar and manually tell the computer to connect.
