Network Help (broadband)

Hey.....right im looking to network just 2 computers and im not the best at networking and all that stuff so please i need some help. Ok, i will call them computer 1 and 2. On computer 1 (windows XP Home SP2) it is connected to the internet (wannado boradband 2.2mbps) and it has the usb adsl modem and all i really want is to make computer 2 (Windows XP Home SP2) have the same connection, and to be able to use them both at the same time if you know what i mean. I dont really want to spend much on a router becuase i only want to connect these 2 computers (Also the computers are about 10m away from each other but on the same floor.)

I would be greatful for any help but please make it simple very simple...Thank You.....
 
if there is ethernet ports
get a cross cable (UTP) and connect the two computers together
and then tell us after you do that to tell you what to do next
 
hmm......is the "Ethernet Port" the one with the symbol of 2 boxes then a line and then another box...But they havnt got anylights next to them i have seen pictures of etherent ports having 3 lights next to them.....

That is what an ethernet port looks like. (the square one) :)
