I have a problem with making contact with the internet. I have a laptop and use an internet connection (Lan) supplied by my university. When I start the Internet Explorer and i search an internetpge. I get the following messsage " The search page cannot be found" . In the Configurations of my Network I see that the network cable is not connected. But I am sure it is I even bought a new one. But I am still receiving the message. Maybe my contactpoints in the computer are damaged? Can somebopdy help me? Is it maybe a software problem? Thank you

are you sure that the lan port is turned on. Go to Network Connections and right click on the Local Area Connection icon. Select the "enable" if it is available

im noy sure if tis the same with laptops, but with dekstops in bios you can turn the ethernet on and off, and also check to make sure the drivers are installed
