how do i make a network bootable floopy disk that can access my network. I then need to map a network drive and copy a file from the drive to my floppy
I dont know about the boot disk but if you have two computers on the same router all you have to do is know the computers IP or computer name. \\"computername" \\192.168.2.1 (local ip address). The local IP address will usually start with a 169 or a 192... you will have to enable sharing for the folder which you want to share on the network. If it is a closed network (only you and family) just allow full access.
bart's network boot disk is the best. Google it and read up on it. He also makes bart's bootable cd. They are both great net admin utilities with the features you need.
