Hi peeps,

Having a few problems ATM with my router,

I am hosting an Apache site on my system.
Last night I had to reboot my router, cant remember why, but when I got it back up and running the config had all changed.

What used to happen was that my external IP hosted a site, which was mirrored on Dyndns, and I also had a site running forwarding to my dyndns site. which was www.3dmodders.co.uk.

The problem is now, my external IP will only link to my router config page.
I think it probably has something to do with port forwarding, but cannot seem to get this working right, have done a google but had no success.

Any guys here have the same router and know how to fix this problem:confused: :( ? Thanks!

Help is much appreciated:)

You need to alter the port forwarding - in the dg834 it is under 'firewall'.

Does your server grab a static IP from the router? This would be set on the server, and should also be set in the reserved table in the router, so no other kit gets given that IP from the router when they grab dynamiclly.

In the firewall settings, direct the HTTP port (80) to te IP address your server has. This should be all you need to do.

First thing to do is to make sure your server has a static IP.

If you turn on remote management in the router, you could send me the logon details via instant message, and I could take a look for you.

I use my dg834 as my main internet gateway, and serve HTTP and FTP via it, and have never had a downtime problem in the time I have had it - a good bit of kit IMHO, especially at the price and it being a white domestic version.
