Netbook as Jukebox?

Hi,

I was thinking of buying a Packard Bell Dot netbook, to use principally as an audio player for my FLAC files. I plan to use it through USB via a Behringer UCA222 USB Audio Interface. Only problem is that I can't find any info anywhere as to whether the HP Dot will output sound via USB bus? My guess is that it does, but I can't find it anywhere on the spec or on Google? Just wondered if anybody here knew the answer for sure? Thanks. B.

With the correct drivers installed it should output sound via USB.

You could also try installing ubuntu
and tweaking the sh*t out of it until you got it to work?

I wouldn't buy that netbook. Packard Bell is the same as Acer (confused me at first, since it sounds so much like Hewlett Packard). Acers are awful.
