Might be a heck of a lot, when conditions change... gaining news coverage, etc.

Yeah, a lot of people don't give a crap or wouldn't even give you the time of day unless it impacts them negatively and realize it when it is too late. By that point it'd already be passed through legislature.

It's irritating to me that there's some huge power grab for what is just a communications platform. It'd be cool to have some sub 'Internets' though or additional popular WAN networks than the Internet.

I expected as much. Even if it wasn't it would be reversed quickly once people realized how bad it would get.

I doubt net neutrality will ever really be compromised... the laws they try to push on the internet are hugely exaggerated by the online community, which is quite a good thing for preventing it from passing.

I hope you're right.

Status may stay for some time, unless they are either able to soft sell it -- that is, translating it or repackaging it into something that appears to be of lesser consequence, beneath the mask of a 'win win' situation for all of us, as we've all heard before -- or else bury it into some other bill -- or else find a way to pass in in one of their 'midnight sessions' without public consent whatsoever. Who can trust this corrupted form of process?
