Hello everyone my name is Josh, aka LunchBox104. I am new to these forums and just wanted to say Hello before I asked my first of MANY questions .

Ok so in the past year I have grown a VERY big interest in learning about computers. I love everything that has to do with computers, and pretty much everything electronic. Im the kind of person who loves to take apart things, learn about how it works, and put it back together. I am actually thinking about making dealing with computers a career choice. Im asking you're advice on what and where I should start learning EVERYTHING about computers. EXP- Learn how everything on and in a computer works. Like where I should start from the bottom and work my way up. ANY ADVICE would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I know I am probably missing info on stuff but as people point things out I can fill in what I have not explained.

College is one place.
Another is get a book on A+ certification that is your computer basics and a good foundation to build on.

Also get an old computer to take apart and play with.

Thank you for you're reply. Is there a good A+ certification book you would recommend? I went and already started looking after you're post for a book, just wanted to see if you had one you would recommend.

Thank you very much Quiltface, it is in the cart and it'll be here soon!!

And as taking a computer apart Elobire, i've taken a few apart in the past few month's. Still I will do alot more of that.

yeah its good to have a computer that isn't worth a lot so you can take it apart and mess around with it without fear of breaking it and being without a computer.

Yeah I love hands on experience with electronics. Like I know most of the parts of a computer, I just want to learn more of what this part is used for, and what the different specs stand for. Just about anything you can learn about with a computer.

A+ would be a good start... its pretty much the stuff anyone in IT should know... or should have learned and forgot, no matter what specialty they are in. And the book i read was by the same guy it was just 8 years ago so it had different stuff.. but the book read really easy and he doesn't make it dry.

Yea it lets you look inside the book, I scanned threw it, and it looks really intresting. Can't wait for it to get here.

Well first off I advise proper spelling....take a look at your title xD :P
