Need technical expertise!! Capture Card/Computer help

Alright I just want to start this thread by pointing out that I'm pretty technically retarded.

Anyways, I am considering buying an HD PVR capture card to record off my xbox 360. I do not know if I have the computer that can handle it though.

This is the laptop I have. The HP Pavilion dv6000, which I have had for 2 years.

Now my question is will my computer be able to handle the PVR?? Also, if it can, what type of editing software, external hard drive, etc. would I need to get??

Your notebook link doesn't work. What specific model do you have? Look on the bottom of the laptop for a sticker with a specific model number.
 
I would max out the memory by getting 2 x 2gb sticks. You should have as much memory as possible to do video.
 
Keep in mind that I'm an idiot and don't understand most of the technical terms.

So I should buy a flashdrive, memory stick, or what? Im confused.
