Need new camera.

So, I will be getting quite a bit of upgrades for my PC over the next few months, but after that, I am getting a camera. I can go in $70 incremants. Like $70, $140, etc. I would like to stay under $350. I need these: Good video (Have a nice cameracorder, but like having just one do it all item), above 8 MP (Im sure every camera will do this in this price range), have one of those lenses that zooms by twisting the lense (Dont need interchangable lenses, just one that does this), have a hot shore, include flash (want it built in, but if it comes with flash that connects to the hot shore, thats fine), and a stero mic input. I think bassicly every camera has one, but I also need a tri pod connector.

I think I might get that Fuji, but, I forgot to mention, I am okay with a larger camera, but smaller than a Nikon d3100. Are the fuji and cannon not to large? I also want it to be easy to use like the Nikon J1 and Sony NEX.

That Fuji will be pretty small. Most DSLR like cameras are smaller or as large as their intro DSLR counterparts.

My Fuji works fine for photos (just take a look in the post your photos thread or on my blog http://jasonbrown2012.tumblr.com and you'll see how it takes pics). The video isn't so good though and you don't twist the barrel to move the lens, but my S4000 is cheaper than the HS25.

I think my recommendation to you would probably be the HS10 though. How serious about photography are you going to get?

Not serious at all really, if I ever get to serious, I will end up getting a better camera. I think I would like to stay in the $250- range, I cant get myself to spend $300 on a camera.

If you're not that serious the S4000 would be fine. I've taken some pretty awesome photos with mine lately. Just be aware that sometimes you may need to edit the photos. I'd like to have a play with an HS10 or HS25 one day though. ;)

If you're not that serious then a simple point and shoot would be fine really. Video on a point and shoot would likely be OK. Take a look into the Panasonic Lumix PnS cameras. :)

Well, yours is a PnS to. Plus, I am serious into video, so I decided I will just get a new cameracorder. My cameracorder shoots at 480, and cost $500, not money you just give away. To bad I bought it only 3 years ago, and already outdated. Oh well, I might get a Lumix FZ47 and a nice cameracorder, around $350 hopfully.

My camera is a bridge camera, not a PnS. I do own a Sony CyberShot DSC-W110; that's a PnS camera and the camera I was using before I got the S4000.

I was going to just recommend you get yourself a camcorder.

You ask for too much! hehe. But that Fuji that voyager suggested is pretty much the best you'll get for the money and matching your criteria. I've owned a Fuji super-zoom and it was a very decent camera for the money. By the way, it's hot shoe not shore.

I cant get myself to spend $300 on a camera.

You just said it's fine as long as it's under $350.
