speakers appear to have died, only getting one out of two working and the working one sounds shite!

Sooo recommend me a new set

After 2.1 set, dont need 5.1 cos no room to put em.

Looking to spend about £50 max inc delivery.

So go find me some

quick GO GO :D

I know I probably should, but I don't really know how much £50 is in USD, about 70?

If so, you could try the Klipsch ProMedia Ultra speakers (acutally about $90) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836119109

Or the Logitech Z-4i 40 Watts 2.1 have good reviews for $70

And just as a final choice, the Creative I-Trigue 3300 43 Watts 2.1 acutally have quite a bit of good reviews... you can check them out too.

heh, thread a little old and had already got some speakers, picked up the Logitech Z-2300 in the end.

Bit over the original price but lovely speakers none the less :)

sound card wise i would go with creative as they have got the market cornered and generally very reliable.

But with speakers they dont really match some of the others on the market, the logitech speakers have THX capabilities and often better clarity of sound. and theres much better out there than that b other manufactureres.

Creative do offer some reasonable speakers for a decent price though

Thats y i would go with creative in his case because it sounds like he is on a budget and im sure he is trying to get the most of his money. if he wanted to spend a hundred or two on speakers, then i would reccomend something different, such as logitech.

that he is me :D

i was on a budget to start with becuase it was near the end of the month, then the wonderful payday arrived and decided on the logitechs. lovely sound, 100watt rms so pumping out a lot more than my old ones were..more than happy with em

I've found that Altec Lansing definetly makes the best 2.1 speakers, make sure to include a bass, which some 2.1's have, really adds to the sound.

this set have a cracking size bass tube with it.
altec lansing do make some lovely sets though, very asthetically pleasing too
