I just bought a Netgear Super-G Wireless Router model WGT624v3 for my Dell Dimension E510, my old Dell Dimension 300, and my new Macbook. I followed every instruction perfectly. I used an ethernet cable instead of going wireless but there weren't any problems with that. I entered the IP information correctly, the DHCP or whatever was correct. When I finished the setup it told me that the installation was a success. Windows XP (being the hyper-caffeinated child that it is) told me that all network and internet connections were functioning and everything was working properly. The only part that seemed to not work was the internet, which was exactly what I was told was working by both the setup wizard and XP. I reset the computer following the instructions on the manual exactly but it didn't make any difference. I'm not exactly a rookie when it comes to networking, but I'm no expert either. I would just like to hear what you guys think could be the problem.

If only the internet isn't working, be sure the computers have a gateway set(router's address) as well as a DNS(sometimes the router, sometimes assigned by your ISP) Also be sure the router has all the correct(your WAN address, gateway, DNS, etc etc...) All that is typically assigned by DHCP though your ISP or given to you on paper.

Well, actually nothing works with the router. I have no idea what the problem is. I keep getting told by windows and the wizard that everything is fine, but it isn't. I mistyped when I said that the only problem was that the internet doesn't work. What I meant to say was that the internet was the only reason I bought the router and it doesn't work.
