I'm not a "computer person" and don't know many details... Can anyone tell me, in the case of things like video files, there is the date and time created and the date and time modified. Is the date and time modified when the file was sent to my computer or downloaded? If not, what does it mean?

don't think it's possible to know when the file was put in your computer, you would only get date created , modified etc...

I'm not sure what it means. I just looked at my movies and it seems that the date modified is long before date created. This doesn't make sense, it can only be modified after it has been created...

The dates on my files suggest that the date modified is when the file was actually created and the date created is when it was moved to my computer. I checked the source of the video and saw that this is correct. It doesn't make sense, but in my case that is what it means.
