Need help transfering files to new laptop

I'm using Windows Easy Transfer to transfer files and programs from my old Dell PC to a new Dell laptop. I get the fault message that there is a problem with "Image API [IMAP]" and the process needs to close. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I always had problems using 'pc to pc file tranfer' software. I gave up because of to many bugs and errors. Fast and easy method would be ftp connected on the same network. Connect both computers to your network, go to http://filezilla-project.org/ download and setup the server on one computer and the client on the other, connect from the client to you server using a 192.168.1.x IP and credentials you setup. Start transfering your data
