Need help pricing my photography services

So I landed a job as a photographer for the local college. I will be photographing staff, events, and students working in the various programs the college offers. They have given me a week to think about how much I want to charge and how I want to be charged.

I have very little knowledge with this kind of thing. I do photo shoots once in a while and charge $30-$50 for an hours work. This however is a college and I will be working up to 6 hours at a time. Should I do an hourly rate? and if so how much? I'm very confident in my ability to deliver the kind of photos they need but I do not want to charge too much and lose the job opportunity.

I know I have a couple of fellow photographers here some of which have experience with this kind of stuff. So I'm asking for your guys advice.

I would say go off of your $50 rate and make sure that you have a baseline half day charge, so basically start off with $200 and then $50 for each hour beyond 4. At least that seems like a fair rate based off of some limited research. Remember this is just the shoot time and any images the client would want would be extra in addition to the shoot charge.

Charge your hourly rate and if you'll be editing and giving full res photos, charge a bit more. :P
