need help on networking

OK here goes I have a sony vaio desktop running a pentium 4 processor .I am on a cable modem. I came into a Power Mac G5 Minitower
Dual PowerPC G5 2.3GHz Processors, 512MB RAM, 250GB Hard Drive, 16X DVD+/-R SuperDrive, Mac OS X Tiger v10.4

Now I wasnt to be able to use both computers on the same monitor ,Keyboard,and mouse . Can someone give me the idiot proof way of doing this . Parts needed so on and so forth . And in english please .. Thank You..

Im not sure you can, as you have conflicting operating system platforms...

You can use a KVM Switch this allows two or more computers to use the same monitor, keyboard and mouse. Below is a link to a dlink product, there are heaps out there though.

I dont think using a different OS will affect the KVM. Just get a decent quality one or else you may have a problem with computers locking up.
