Need Cooling for 7800GS

I just put this 7800GS into my AGP slot yesterday. It works great, but I want more cooling on it.

The PCI slot below it is empty, and the 1 PCI card I do have, an ethernet controller, (in the 2nd slot) could be moved lower.

I've seen PCI coolers that EXHAUST air, but I don't want to do that.

Does anyone make a PCI fan that will pull fresh air in and dump it right in the fan on the video card?

I don't remember the name, but I have seen coolers that you add that pull air in and blow it on the GPU. Most commonly, there are additional coolers that you just replace the old one with. Check out stuff by Arctic Cooling. They have some nice coolers/silencers.

I'd prefer not to mess with the stock cooler. I've seen the aftermarket coolers, but I don't really want to mess with it.

I've searched high and low for a PCI fan that will just pull in cool air. I think it would work great, if I could dump cool air on the fan for the GPU, rather than let it pull in case air, which is heated.

I have pretty good case ventilation, but this graphis card is pumping out some serious heat.

What if I buy a slot fan and just reverse the power wires?

Would that make the fan run backwards? Thereby changing it from an exhaust fan into an intake fan.

Would it work right if it was running in reverse? I know the blades are shaped a special direction.

That shoudl work, but i would run it in a old PC for a few mins just to test...

Well, now your getting into aero-dynamics and fan fin layout etc... the fins on the fan are tapered and bent to blow air in one way efficiently, if you reverse this the fan will be nearly useless.

same as above, wouldnt work too well... you would get a MASSIVE fin turbulence which would increase noise and decrease CFM.

*EDIT* - also, the air at the back of your case is generally hot and humid, its nto a good idea to start drawing that air back in to cool an already hot gfx card.....

Seriously, consider changing the GPU HSF too. Arctic coolings HSFs are very easy to install, very quiet and cool very well. Theres just 2 pins, and thats the stock HS off, then the AC HSF just screws on, no problem.
