Need a new modem/router

Recently upgrade internet conenction, and had to upgrade the modem to a modem/router to take advantage of the faster speed.

However, the new hardware is, well, buggy, even with a firmware upgrade and tweaking with the settings. So, I'm going to buy a decent modem router.

Basically, I need it to connect my computer to the internet, like so:

Phone line in, Ethernet out.

Im in the UK, and have a lot of sites available. So far, I've looked at two modem/routers, and reviews havent been great. So, im looking for a thoroughly decent modem/router, to provide an internet connection, to one computer. If you can recommend one that is on one of these sites, thats great. If you know of a GREAT modem/router, which isnt on these sites, then let me know the model, and I can have a look on other sites.

EDIT: Oh yeah, nothing stupidly expensive. Lets say £40 or £50-ish.
 
Why so many views but no suggestions? Surely, most of the people here are using a modem/router (phone line in, ethernet cable out) to connect to the internet. So, if you've had no problems, or those you have had were incredibly easy to fix, please tell me what modem/router you're using.
 
well i got a BT voyager 2091 wireless router with an extra usb wireless stick for £49.99 in pc world, its a nice router
