My sound card's default khz

For Call of Duty: Black ops, I've been having trouble trying to get it working because of the poor optimization for PC. One suggestion was to match the khz for the sound card and the config files. On the config, it says "seta snd_khz "44"" but for the life of me, I cannot find the setting for my sound card. I'm running 32bit XP home edition with a Creative SB Audigy 2 Zs. Thanks.

Go to control panel > sound > speakers > advanced tab and it should have listed there. The exact steps might be different for windows XP but if I remember correctly it was something similar to that.

If you look in Programs / Creative there are a number of dialogs but none involve 44. The digital speaker output can be 48 or 96 kHz

I am still not able to find it. I looked all over "sounds and audio devices," looking through all the advanced tabs and such. Anyone with Xp know exactly where I can find it? Meanwhile, I'll try changing the config to 48 to see if that helps.
