My simple setup brakes :(

I've got 2 pcs networked via crossover cable and I can't get to the network from either side. I used to just drop files into the shard files in My network places and i'd show up on the other pc.

I must of messed something up. It happened when I tried to speed the network up until I found out one card was 10mb/sec. Well, I tried to back track. and then I tried to resetup the network.
Now, my main pc is found under Entire Network but when I click to explore it says not accessible... make sure u have permissions or something such. This is where the problem is.

Not sure if its the administrative services or firewall or what (though I fidgeted with these plenty)

"Contact the administrator." Hey thats me.
Any suggestions?

go to each pc and do this:
Start menu, run type "cmd"
Type ipconfig
Write down the "ip address"

Computer 1 ip is: Ex 192.168.2.1
Computer 2 ip is: Ex 192.168.2.2

From Computer 1 type this into IE url bar "\\192.168.2.2"
From Computer 2 type this into IE url bar "\\192.168.2.1"

This is the local ip of the computer you are trying to connect to.

Simple huh? You can map to that ip address or the computer name ex: \\eazie or \\eazie\shared folder
