My PC's Z-2300 speakers are having a problem...

So this just started happening today. My Logitech Z-2300 speakers suddenly stopped having the power go through them i guess, in that if i turn on my speakers through the switch on the back of the subwoofer and the power button on the control, the blue power light would stay on for a a few seconds, then slowly fade away. When the speakers stopped working, there was this "thump" noise that happened. Then the speakers started working again, then there was that thump, and the speakers stopped working again.

Are these speakers good as dead? Is there a way to fix this?

Are you sure its the speakers? Do you have another pc or device to try them on?

I think it's the speakers. I'm saying that when i turn on the power with the switch on the back of the subwoofer, and turn the button on on the dock, the light turns blue, then slowly fades away.

OK, now when i turn on the switch on the back of the subwoofer, and press the button on the control, it doesn't work period.

I'm going to see if logitech offers repairs.

OK, so Logitech said they couldn't fix my speakers. I do not want to buy a new set, the Z-2300 was pretty good as it is. I read one site (could be biased, but not sure) that said that the Z623 is not as good as the Z-2300, even though the Z623 is newer. Is there a way to fix this? Has anyone ever had this problem? I also have to say that i don't have much experience fixing stuff, but if fixing it is easy, i may try it...Just afraid of possibly electrocuting myself.
