Well today I received my new camera, and it's going to take me awhile to learn half of it lol, but I'll get it some day.

I love Pentax cameras. My old 35mm just feels so 'right' to hold.
Is that the camera you asked us to look for prices for you? How much did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking?
 
$730...OUCH. I'm still not ready to spend that much on a camera :P Well you better protect your investment. Look into getting some filters for the lens. Trust me, it feels much better just wiping crap off a filter with your shirt than worrying about messing up the lens!
 
Thats about AU$900. Not too bad. I looked up the specs. Very impressive. I want one! I'm with T.O.O. I can't justify spending that amount on a camera. I would have to spend time with it I just don't have, to warrant the purchase. Maybe I'll get some lenses for my 35mm and play around with that. Maybe a polarising filter too.
 
What site did you buy that Pentax off of? Looks to me like gray market.:(

Did you get all the manuals, drivers, interface cords, etc. etc.?
 
Why do you say it looks like a gray market product?
Abe's of Maine was the site I bought it from. It's not the most reputable site, but better then some.

Everything came with the camera.
 
Just looking out man....i've had a few friends that got burned with gray market...The body of the camera was actually plastic. Really a knockoff.

Glad yours is not!

p.s. thought it looked gray due to the box

I was reading some reviews of that site before i bought it, and a few people got gray market products.
So far everything looks a ok.

Lol, for those that think $750 on a camera is crazy, you really haven't begun to look into the SLR market...
