Ok so i got a cheapie, and am having a problem with it. I was taking pics in my apt just to try it out and the lighting is really crappy. Everything is really bright. Is this just cuz its a cheap or why.

This is the camera, except i bought it from walmart.

Well... heres the review off tigerdirect:

"Do not buy this product. It is a waste of money (and plastic) plain and simple. I got it home read the directions completely and started snapping test pictures to get the hang of the camera. I couldn’t take one decent indoor picture, (never made it outdoors with it) the flash either completely blots out the subject/object or it’s to dark. I called the support number to see if perhaps the camera might be faulty. The hold time was 45 minutes and after the operator finally did answer, the call only lasted three minutes. I was basically told to “play with the settings” and “try taking pictures with a different exposure and no flash” to see if that would help. Tried every mode and possible exposure with and without flash and still could not take a good indoor picture. This is definitely a disappointing product."

Pretty much same story here, think i will end up taking it back. If the flash wasnt so intense, mabee it might be decent, and dont even care about outside if it cant take outside pics. I think its just a piece of crap.

The shutter speed is quite slow with a very high exposure setting(checking the EXIF data) I don't know what settings you can set, but using a flash would definetly help this... Otherwise, there's not much you can do.

The lens on the camera if everything. I'm sure that thing also has a rather cheap CCD and what not, but typically, the size of the lens is a pretty sure sign of it's quality.

Try using the camera some outside where light won't be an issue. I'm sure it won't be wonderful, but it should be a good bit better than your indoor pics.

Thats the thing, it barely has any settings. I think im going to take this one back and try one more and if that doesnt work, ill break down and get a little more expensive on. Thanks for the help guys.

Top two don't work, but the bottom one is definetly better than the previous... Goes to show, as I always say, the megapixles are never a sure sign of quality :P
