My Bros computer does not have sound

Hey guys Danda here again,

My bro needed some help on his computer. When he got alot of crap stuck in his computer, he grabbed the 'Re installation' Disc and reinstalled Windows XP on his computer, running like new once again.

Now when he got the internet connected, and wanted to watch a video, he could not hear any sound from the speakers. We connected them and checked everything until I went to the sound control panel and it said that the sound was not installed into his computer.

Is there a program or something that can make my brothers sound on his computer work again? I would appreciate the help all! Thanks!

p.s. Whenever my brother scrolls down on a page, the Frame rates are REALLY bad lie... It lags every time I scroll down or it takes a second to go from one section to another. Anyone know how to fix that? Thanks!
 
I found the Disc for it. My idiot brother forgot to tellme that there was a disc. I got it thanks.

Still the monitor is 'Lagging' and everytime I scroll down the page it takes a second to see the other part of that page. I hope I am making this clear because its hard to explain this. Thanks again!

The Issue is now fixed... Now I have One last Issue.

My sound on my computer works but...

For some reason I can only hear on the right side. I checked the Volume control but It does not make much of a difference. I have Windows Vista Premium 64 bit. I would really appreciate the help guys thanks!
 
hmm, maybe it doesn't make sense that only the right side has sound. The only reason I could think of is, the left speaker may have died. Try buying some cheap speakers, and see if they work fine. You could also borrow speakers from someone.

Fortunately, I didn't buy the computer =] I've been reading some of the threads you made about the computer, and looks like your having some problems with it.
 
Naw no problems, just the sound now, I got everything working (Thats what I got for not plugging in anything correctly).

I just need the sound to get working again
