Mosquito Noise out of control

Not quite sure which section of the forum to post this under, but I've got a really annoying issue.

I'm not sure exactly when this issue started, but I recently bought a new video card for the computer it's happening on. Soon after, I started getting blue screens, which ended up being fixed by simply reseating the RAM.(Wish I knew that right off the bat) I think the RAM has had problems since I first built the computer, as I hear occasional beeps from the tower.

Anyway, the real issue here is that I'm hearing an extremely audible and annoying mosquito buzz from any sound device plugged into the machine. I'm using a monitor and headphones, and both of them let out the audible screech. But here's the catch, the noise ONLY happens when the CPU or possibly the video is heavily tasked. For example, during a fullscreen game or during the Windows performance evaluation that tests your hardware this noise kicks in loudly. Beyond that, I never hear it.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the possible components that could be causing this, but I'm having trouble. Perhaps the new video card is putting more of a strain on the PC? Perhaps something with the RAM?

Regardless, I'd really love to tackle this issue and get that noise stopped. If anyone could give some recommendations or if you've experienced something like this before and know how to stop it, please let me know. I'd love to hear any input.

Thanks!

It's capacitor/coil whine. Not a lot you can do about it. Some components wear in and the noise stops. Other don't.

If you are getting noise on your mic and speakers/headphones, try muting front and rear microphone ports, as well as any input ports you aren't using.

Thanks for the advice. I've heard this term before.

The level of noise is just unbearable. It's audible from my monitor even when I'm wearing headphones. It's extremely loud. I have a faint coil whine on my other computer that comes through a specific output, but it's bearable.

Is there anything else I can do to cut this down? I've muted everything that isn't in use and even disabled all other inputs and outputs.
