Earlier today...I was trying to copy and paste a blob of text using the Ctrl-C function....and as I was reaching for those two keys in that general direction...I accidently messed with my monitors Gamma hotkey...

It slightly changed the way my monitor is displays color and tinted everything kinda brown. I don't want this and have no idea how to get my old color back on my laptops monitor.

Does anyone know the reversal of this? My hand was pressing keys in the lower-left corner of my keyboard...so I assume the solution is on that side of it. Little halp please?
 
I cannot find any standard shortcuts that fit the bill. My best guess is maybe Windows key + g which is a similar hand shape to Ctrl + C. Have you tried all combinations in that area to at least bring up a dialog?

Have you any gaming or utility apps installed like Adobe Gamma, or any screen calibration utilities?
 
No, I don't have any of those utilities. I've also tried pushing every button combo I can think of scrolling through them. This sucks >_<

Do you think a system restore would help?
 
I'm not a big fan of System Restore unless it's really needed. If you are certain that nothing will be lost then it will do no harm. I would make it the last resort. If you can find out what the problem is you will know next time.

You could take a look at your graphics advanced settings to see if anything is unusual. You may not have browsed to date. Look for colour balance or any settings that are other than default. Gamma will not change colour, it would tend to make the screen look darker or more washed out.

Check your manuals for any shortcuts.

Where do I find the laptop model? I no longer have the manual to this thing anymore :/

That would be helpful a whole lot if it's searchable somewhere :3

If you look at page 31 [Fn]+[C] looks a real prospect:
Toggles “Splendid Video Intelligent Technology” function ON and OFF.
