MoBo Audio and Distortion Problem

Hi Guys

Bought a P67-UD5-B3 yesterday, and i installed windows and that all perfect. Except sound. I couldnt hear anything with stock intel drivers.

Now i installed my Realtek HD Audio Drivers from the CD, and i have just had problems

only 1 of my ports at the back are recognised when i plug my speaker into it (orange), out of 6 of them, and my speakers are either distorted, have a hum, or just dont work at all.

I Tried different ports, and nothing pops up on the realtek program. Basically like the ports dont work.

Now i managed to get the Speakers to work, but everytime any sound comes out, they fizz, and the sound is distorted.

I reinstalled the drivers, but nothing works.

Do you think the mobo is faulty?

WHat else could be wrong?

Thanks Guys

Hey.

Now i plugged in my headphones, and my headphones play everything clearly, but my speakers still distort...

what could be wrong? And 2 ports now work, grey and orange.

turns out the mobo was faulty...

But now i have a different problem... (which i did have before the upgrade)

everytime i play a song or video or whatever through my PC, every 3 seconds or so i get a "tick" noise coming from the speakers. now its not the speakers, as my headphones do it, and it happened with my bros speakers, and it happened before i upgraded my PC.

What could it be?

That can be a hard one to solve problem, no doubt electrical interference some where from the hard ware.... some times changing components might fix it...

Read your motherboard manual and make sure your audio jumpers are set correctly.

Story:
When I got my HP Pavillion DV6 I had this problem, sent it to the "techguys" came back, no difference (after a week without the lappie), did it a second time, and they said the next week when it came back again that they played it for over 1 hr and they didnt spot anything...
I said well thats pretty darn stupid (trying to keep it polite on here), as when I PLAY ANY SOUND IT IS DISTORTED CONSTANTLY.
Anyway I took it in to PC world and within 16 hours it was fixed.

Soloution:
Anyway all they did was do a destructive factory restore and it reinstalled the mobo drivers and its perfect now. :)

Read the post as he had a defective motherboard!!!

A Destructive factory restore! No need... when all they had to do was uninstall and reinstall of drivers...

For his last problem as I stated it could be electrical interference from PSU, cable layout to quality of components he is using in his PC.
