Mineral Oil Submerged/Cooled Computer

I was thinkin of building one but the cost of the oil makes it not worth it because I would throw a old $5 school computer in it.

A idea for the fans are to cut off every other fin so they spin alittle faster and are not under as much stress,

Yeah. I'd be terrified of submerging any electric device in any liquid. Yes it's safe but still seems bad.
 
I'd be afraid of the oil slowly climbing up and out of the tank on the wires. That'd be the only downside to me, besides the cost.
 
There was a similar post about this some time ago.I did this in 2007. lol.It's pretty cool.:D
And after all I AM the one who washes computer parts in a dishwasher too.And yes that includes the power unit/supply :D
