all the time my soundcard, sometimes when i turn my computer on but dont use my mic for a while, sometimes randomly, and sometimes when using in game voip playing online, i get horrible interference. what causes this cos the only way i can get rid of it most of the time is by restarting my computer? is there ne way to stop it without restarting?

thanks

what do mean"horrible interference"? if you mean screeching sounds (feedback), then move the mic away from the speakers , if it's crackling you are getting then it sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

Try your PC with a different microphone if possible, and if it doesn't work then, maybe your too close to the speakers. If it is not this use the audio setup wizard. Go to Start, Control Panel, Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices, Sounds and Audio Devices. Now scroll across to Voice using the tabs at the top, and then to Test Hardware as shown in the diagram. Follow the onscreen instructions. Hope this helps.

no no, its not like that, its the same with any mic. its like a kind of internal interference, its not a loose connection. Deff not feedbk cos i can see the interference on the mic tester even when the mics turned off or even unplugged. other people i know have similar problems

is your sound card next to your vga card in your system? try moving it to the furthest socket from it as other cards in your system can interfere with your soundcard ESPECIALLY vga cards which are considered "noisey" as far as rf frequencies are concerned.

I know this dont sound right but it works at least for TS and Vent , if you are getting a screeching sound go into windows mixer and mute the mic.

you will still be able to use the mic with TS and Vent you just have to adjust the volumes within the VOIP app.
