I think I may have deleted my sound card when I was deleting programs. I have a Sony Vaio with Windows XP. I get no sounds and when I try to turn up the volume it is can't be adjusted.

How can I fix this?

Youve probably just deleted the drivers. Try a windows update and see if they come up. If not, find out what sound card you have and find the drivers on the internet.

is it possible that you could post a link up of your exact PC?

Please let me know how to do that and I will.

Under Sound, videp, and game controllers I have 5 listed: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Devices, Media Control Devices, and Video Codecs.

Brand/Model of the computer. Should be written on the computer itself somewhere...

I'm sorry I spoke too soon. I forgot that I needed to enable the device after installing. I just enabled the driver and it is now working.

Thanks for your help.
