some coworkers and i are thinking about getting a satellite internet connection. we don't want to do wireless. what restrictions will we encounter if we use a 10 port hub?
It depends on how many pc's re going to be on the network.But in any case,it would be much better and faster to use a 100mbps switch,the difference in price is not so big nowdays.
a router may be a better choice (tiny but slower mind) but better if you are all surfing at once.
As for restrictions.. apart from cable management and choice, there are none
