A Wireless LAN is in place, Is there any good freeware without ANY commercial, that might help you config the network to a more secure state of being?
It is set up as basic as possible now, and there is no security on it, ANYONE can access it, also War-Drivers, and that is B-A-D!!!
I don't need anything fancy.
Does Windows XP have any security for wireless LAN?

You can also have MAC address filtering, which only allows people to access your conection if there MAC address is entered into your router. You can also turn "broadcast SSID" off, this way you need to type in the routers name to get access to it.

and turning off dchp, and limiting your ip address pool to just the number of devices you're are using will all help

not all routers can be configured by using the default gateway as a URL....i know linksys does i dunno about others, but you should filter your MAC Address list so your neighbor isnt stealing your connection
