I have a Dell Dimension L800R that has been collecting dust. It is stock other than some extra ram in it. Could i use this to make a dvr? I believe the video card is intergrated in the motherboard and just don't know if it can handle using it as a dvr. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Maybe it just need to go to the recycle yard?

dvr server or dvr for recording tv? if its a dvr server, id sport a few big harddrives and buy a rocketraid card, and get a decent dvr card for your cameras. but i doubt you mean that... for recording tv, get a decent tv capture card. you might have a hell of a crap time recording tv on an older comp with integrated
