Hey everyone.
I was at tiger direct today, looking at some new processors for my desktop. i have an inspron 530. its garbage. So, I thought i would look into making a custom computer. If anyone could help me out by telling me where to start and some part buying tips, it would be much apreciated.

Oh, and im looking to do some gaming with this computer (fallout 3, CoD 6)

Thanks.

No, as I am a "noob" in computer building, I basically paid some guy 500 dollars to build my rig. But defiantly post in the Desktop settings. If you tell them what you want to use the computer for, and how much money you have they will build you have system within that price range and you can decide if you want to purchase the parts they listed. Just go in their, ask them to build a system (tell them what you mostly do) tell them your price range is 1,000$ dollars, and tell them you would prefer if they used newegg.

We offer a whole section on building a computer here http://www.computerforum.com/104641-how-build-computer-step-step-photos.html also, if you post in the Desktop section of the forums stating, What you will be using the computer forum, what your price range is, and your location (if your in the u.s you can get great deals).

That's only if you dont know how to build it. It's not for parts.

quintin3 go to "Desktop Computers" (It's the first section on the forum) and post there that you want to build a computer and you are looking for help with the parts. Add: What's your budget for the computer, also what games you want to play on it, and also where are you located so people can know from what store to pick the parts for you. :)
