Mac Stereo

Hello all,

I am having big problems with my mac. I can't get it to output full stereo. The really bad part however is that it does output right, but no left, and I can't even find a mono setting, so I literally have no way of hearing my left channel. Being into mixing and equalizing this is a major problem. I am running leopard, if that helps anyone. If anybody knows where I can change anything please tell, I have tried anything in system preferences one could imagine, but to no avail, please post that too, if I missed something.
 
What version do you have?
There was a problem with a version of mac os x tiger which wasn't outputting well sound for intel-based macs. There was an update to fix that.
 
What program are you using to play the music???
Does every program do it??

Could be a hardware fault....
 
You don't need to do anything. It just works.
