Loud Computer Component

Well I am just trying to troubleshoot what this loud noise could be coming from. So far I know its not the hard drive which I thought it was as I put in a different hard drive and the noise persists. It sounds like the cpu heatsink fan and I just ordered a new one anyone have any other ideas???

Also it only is loud during high applications such as gaming otherwise its a low fan noise and I bought the evo 212 coolermaster the new one anyone have it??

If you were using the stock fan there is a good chance that it is loud because it had to work really hard to cool the cpu. If that is the case, a better fan/heatsink should fix your problem.

I don't have the 212 EVO myself but I have used it in a few builds that I have done for others. Solid cooler as long as you have the room in your case for it.

Probably CPU or GPU cooler. If it increased after getting the new cooler, I'm sure that's what it is.

Thermaltake, Coolermaster and XIGMATEX are great. Coolermaster have some cool heatsink. 212 EVO is good choose and all copper pipe connection direct to CPU. What I don't like from coolermaster is fan that have too much noise. Good news is 212 can replace different 120 MM fan if you want better fan. I use XIGMATEX fan on my heatsink. Also be sure it is 150 MM space for heatsink inside case.

Just a silly point that is easily overlooked, Are all the cables clear of the fans, as it is possible that when the fan speeds up (better cooling) a cable may be vibrating off (e.g.)the CPU heat-sink.

Try tying the cables (plastic cable ties) away from the working area's.
