Looking for decent vista compatable sound card

That should work, but since Vista won't feature native support for anyhting but XFi cards you'll have to get drivers here.

I'm not running one of the Rc's though those are for the Rc version i have the final edition of vista on my pc right now...
 
hmm.. I thought the X-fi cards were the one's having trouble with Vista atm, due to the lack of driver support. =o

I had RC2 installed, and my Audigy worked just fine ( there is a driver set downloadable for the whole Audigy series iirc, so a Audigy 2 would work too i gues :) )
 
My sound card worked fine on the RC2 edition but the final edition isnt happy with it for some reason. When i try to install it it freaks out and explorer dies if i try to open a webpage it dies if i try to go to device manager it dies so i just gave up. Its only a cheapo maddog sound card anyway. Its time for an upgrade just dont want to waste money on one that wont work with vista.
 
understandable.. My gues would still be one of the Audigy cards tough.. If a company would have driver support for vista already, i think it would be Creative (for sound cards that is ofc)
