hi im planning to get the logitech x530 70 watt 5.1 speakr system... i was wondering if the speakers would work fine if i just use the generic sound card on my motherboard. The sound card is a generic 3d wave onboard 5.1 sound card and im not sure how many bits it is. IS there a minimal amount of bits the soundcard has to have so the bass doesnt make a buzz or a squeaky noise? Would i be fine with just the generic sound card? Thanks. :)

I think it would work

I THINK

i using Creative Audigy and Tyhoon 5.1 -bad combination , i think is the speakers problem . I also planning to buy Logitech X-530 , i read it specification - seems good for me (but bass not so strong) . Usually onboard sound =16 bits - while Creative Audigy = 24bits , but just for normal use then not much diff - but if with 6.1 and 7.1 THX - i am sure got diff

The Logitech Z640s, 70W, 5.1 are usually priced more competitively and worth considering :)
