Linksys Wireless Router/RCA modem help! (No internet!)

I am using a Linksys WRGWRT54G2 V1 Router and trying to hook it up to a RCA Broadband DHG525 modem...

The internet works if I have an ethernet plugged in straight to the modem... but when I plug in the router with:

Ethernet from Modem to INTERNET port on Router, and then in slot 1, another ethernet cord from slot 1 to the computer, the internet will not work... with the ethernet cord or wireless. I get "Local Only."

I had the wireless router hooked up where I used to live, and now live in a new place with a different modem. Thought I would at least get internet this way with an ethernet cord, but no go...

Just get "Local Only." But if I plug the ethernet cord straight from the modem to the computer tower, it works just fine...

Any ideas? I am really unsure at the moment why it isn't working.

Do a hard reset on the router so that you can get new network information from the modem. You may be forced to use the router install cd to automatically get the info. On some occasions you may need to clone the mac address of the modem in the router, depending on the ISP.

I probably do not have the router CD anymore... :( moving is horrible

Your ISP may help you to set up the router with the correct settings, some representatives are more helpful than others.
