Linksys security problem

Hi,

I've tried to secure my wireless lan by turning off the SSID broadcast, but I guess it is not working ! 'cause when I restart my laptop it gets the network name as before "Linksys" and I aslo used a wep encrayption but when I connect to the network I don't get the password request form !

how can I make sure my wireless lan is secure and that my linksys adsl gateway is acceptin the options?

Help please.

You dont get a request form becuase once you sign in the first time, its automatically stored in the comp; saves time and hassle on having to input a 16 (or so) digit/number combination everytime. As for the first problem, i don't quite understand what you're saying.
