Hey guys lemme give you some backround info before i state my problem:
Brand new built from the ground up house
-Ethernet in every room
-All wired to a 16 port switch in the basement
-Comcast internet and telephone on the same modem (Arris)
-4 total computers in the house, all hardwired

Problem:
Alright, everything was working fine until this morning when 3 of the houses laptops would get a "limited or no connectivity" on the ethernet thus, making them not able to get on the internet. Only one computer would be able to connect to the ethernet without getting the "limited or no connectivity" pop up.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Apperently only one computer can re-new its IP addy with the switch.

please help me out.

It sounds like the switch is either only giving one computer an IP...try looking around in the set-up page for the switch for some IP options...if you can reset it, do that.

try this:

1. Go to Run,

2. Type " cmd "

3. Then then type in " netsh winsock reset "

4. Restart the computer

(if that doesn't work, replace " netsh winsock reset " with " netsh winsock reset catalog ")
If this solves the problem you have something called Winsock2 corruption. You would need to search for a tutorial to replace the corrupted registy.

Have you tried using a static IP instead of DHCP? If you don't know that those are, or how to use either one, let me know and I will be more then willing to help you out.
