legacy audio driver

ok my laptop has legacy sound card (i think cause it saids in the device manager) i tried to find the driver but cant find any that are in exe. their all just files and i dont no how to install them. can someone send me a link to a legacy audio driver plz? thx a lot
 
What is the extension of those that you downloaded?

You will probably just have to unpack it or have it installed manually through your device manager where you will update the driver.

If the file is a compressed format like .zip, .rar, .tar, etc..
You'll have to use a program like WinRAR and such to unzip it. Look up the extension and let us know, we can walk you through it if possible.
 
i downloaded the file called ac97via and it saids systemfile on the bottom but i dont think i got the right one. can you send me a link to one please? o ya and ive also used driverguide toolkit and under sound, video and game controllers it saids

so im pretty sure i need a legacy audio driver or is there a possibility that the computers being tricked? cause on my sony website it saids this laptop has a realtek??? i tried the sony driver and it didnt work.
