learning about an iMac

I think I wound up with some of that Julian Assange/Bradley Manning stuff on my machine, and it had encrypted blockages against deleting the stuff, and I was stuck with it, so I went in and deleted about 25,000 e-mails (it took over an hour), and somehow, that allowed me to delete the unwanted stuff . . .

I had all my e-mails in separate files, and kept my mail screen clean after each reading of mail, but still the stuff in folders somehow was affecting other stuff and I know it sounds goofy, but that's the way it was -- I will never again allow my e-mails to accumulate to that extent again . . .

Now, can anyone tell me how to delete stuff from my "Bookmarks" list under the Safari menu ? ?

Its a little hard to understand what you're saying but for OSX Lion, deleting bookmarks is done under the reading glasses/book icon...

Apple has instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH5026

If you have further issues and your iMac is under 5 years old, take it into the closest store near you. They can help you at the Gadget Bar. Also, use the support.apple.com webpage to look up some FAQ's.

Goodluck :)
