LAN problem

I have plugged my ethernet cable into my laptop, and it doesn't want to connect to the internet. It makes me mad. I have tried all I know, and I can't get it to work. Please someone help.

Check the device manager and see if you have any yellow exclamation points next to any of the devices.

What specs? Download and install PC Wizard and run it, go to FILE, SAVE AS and click OK. Copy the text out of that file into here.
