I have a 2nd drive on the computer. i cannot figure out how to keep separate directorys private. example on the d:drive i have a directory called family pictures. i just want to make sure the grand kids when logged in without admin rights do not delete. i have other directorys i dont want them to see. work related stuff. credit card receipts. what ever. every time i log in under there name they have access to everything it looks like.

if you're using windows xp, open my computer, go to Tools, Folder options, in the View tab at the very bottom you need to uncheck: use simple file sharing. then you can set permissions per user or groups on folders or entire disks. worked for me :)
