Keep having to awake my monitor

I'm sure this has only happened recently but whatever I'm doing whether it be In Explorer or Mozilla or Open Office, after about a minute I have to click the mouse button to re-awake the screen and continue what I'm doing. All very annoying!!

I've tried Sys restore and going back a week or two butit makes no difference. Anyone any ideas please??
 
Right click on desktop. Go to properties. Look for screen saver or power settings. Modify these to be more time or off before shutting down hardware. You can modify the harddrive, screen and ultimately the computer going to sleep completely.
 
I think I'm getting somewhere! Recently changed my Wifi adapter and when I use the new utility to configure the network I get the problem. If I use Windows to configure it, I don't. Must admit that when I installed the new driver and utility there was a message saying it was not approved by Microsoft, however the adapter manufacturere says it's for use with Windows!! Some conflict I guess. We'll test it out a bit further but hopefully I'm OK now. It is a well-known make of adapter so maybe other people have had the same problem and may find this thread interesting?
