just needing a idear how good my system would be

hi im not 100% on the specs of my pc until i get it back in a cupple of days could update this again and fix any muck ups ive made then but would like an idear on wat other people think of it since it was quite cheap ta build.... this was a old pc i was fixing up for fun

specs...
cpu - single core socket 939 amd 2.8ghz (overclocked from 1.8ghz)
motherboard - Asus A8N-SLI SE NVIDIA Socket 939 ATX Motherboard
hdd - theres 2 250gb 7500rpm WD hdd runing on ide and a 350gb 7500rpm i thnk may be faster?? and thats also on ide
power pack - 550w powermax
cd/dvd rom - dvd r-rw
ram - 2 512mb runing at max on duel
videocard - nivida 7950 gx2 1gb duelcore not overclocked
windows - win xp pro sp3
would anyone class this as a good gaming pc??? any hints 2 help speed it up would be great thanks for any comments
 
The CPU isn't much good, even overclocked. You've only got a Gig of RAM, never heard of Powermax, GPU is far outdated, OS is fine, it might be worth buying/building a new PC if you have the money :)
How fast is your RAM?

Atm, not a good gaming computer. Might be able to run very simple FPS's on low settings or a few online games
 
sum games i havent had a problem playing have been grid on max screen resolution 1024x768 farcry 2 almost max on 1024x768 need 4 speed shift on medium same resolution i think i does prity gd for a old pc but thats wat i think

Did you say FarCry 2 ran on nearly max. settings on that rig?!

Can you post up the framerates>?
 
just got it back just need a dvi cable before i could post the framerates and yep at odd times thro out the game it would run a little slow with the screen resolution and miss a group of frames only a pain when u have people shooting at ya but had tested it at lower resolution and then cranked up the settings more and it went prity good and looked ave dew 2 the resolution its good enuf ta play it tho as ive finished the game on it before and part way thro it now
