hi sirs/madams,

i am have asked a local computer sales store to build a pc for me. my original budget was going to be in the 500-650$ range but i did not account in for the labor that they had to include which would be putting the parts together, installing windows,..etc.

anyways here is my rig, i wanted to know if there is any other graphics card or processors that u guys reccomend instead of the one that i have listed... but i want it to be similiar in price and if not better in performance.. or reccomend me one that is the same performance and cheaper in price,.. this rig was total is 830$... so probably it was in reality 700$ but they boosted it for labor... do u think 830$ is still a good price, please comment. thanks.here is the rig:

Also here are the key questions that i want to ask:

1. i know the intel cpus are better but amd is cheaper.. should i still switch to a intel i3 or something for same price? is there a better amd i should get?

2. the graphics card... is that the best i can get for under 100$?

3. good enough ram?

4. i will be playing CS:S,CS:S (upcoming new css), TF@ ( i really really want to play this game on max settings with very good fps), possibly bf3 and new COD

That is not a good deal for $830. We can help you build one here. You will have to put it together yourself, but you can use your full budget on your parts rather than labor.

Yeah that's not the best deal :/ The computer i have costed me a total of around $600 excluding the monitor, windows and the hard drives (The hard drives and windows 7 were free :D)

adds up to around 535 for the parts making it 300 for build, although these prices may be a little off they aren't enough to make up the difference from what he said or whaterver and the truth. if you want then go and look these up on newegg.

whoops, Yeah it's $581 xD i'd consider that not worth it $250 that's almost 50% of what the computer is worth :/

I wish someone would pay me $250 to put one together...

Seriously 1word_swag. It will take you a few hours max to get it up and running (including the OS install and other software. You will be getting a way better deal, and we will help you get much more performance for your money.

agreed, and if you still just won't build your own then look at ibuypower and cyberpowerpc, they aren't the best with warranties and all but they will give you w way better deal and we can help with most issues with it.

You already have another thread and I've posted it there. Please stick to one thread in the right section :)

yeah 830 is terrible. i would pay about 550 for that build. and you can have it up and running in about an hour and a half max just reading the instructions from this site.. let alone if you go on newegg. they have the video instructions you just follow the guy on the screen lol takes about an hour
