Is this a good pair of 5.1's or what?

OK, I recently found out that having 5.1 headphones can hurt with glasses. I now (sadly) have to go to speaker. I saw these and got amped up to get them. But first, I need you expert opinion, (personally, I think people try to brag by posting "should I get this or this?" right now, I mean should I get this or not wast money). To me they look like a nice pare. But now I leave it up to you. The goal, simple. The question, even more so.

To buy, or not to buy?

I have the X-620s, the cheaper 6.1 version, and they may not be pro sound quality, but i have surround for fifty bucks. Those also sound great, that woofer kicks.

i have the older version, the z-640s, and they kick out some sound especially the bass although mine died on me (about 4 years) and i will now be replacing them with x-530s

REALLY??? I heard the wires are short... Is that true???
Well they are a little short if you are trying to see them around the edge of your room, but that is what these are meant for, anyway I think its just a standard a/v plug for the wires so I am sure you could just get extensions for them. But they cords are pretty long.

yeah ive got those and love em, definately one of the best for the price.

i have had no probs with the wires, my room isnt exactly huge, but they are 2 metres away from the sub so there is a bit of length

I trust Logitech products and those speakers seem to be pretty good. I dont have those but my experience with Logitech speakers has usually been good. 70 watts is great, i've had a 40watt altec lansing 5.1 system and they were great so you shouldnt have any complaints with 70watts (unless you turn into an audiophile and start wanting more power). You will definitely get more depth especially if these are replacing the traditional 2-speaker system. Try going to Best Buy or another local computer store to see if they are on display so you can try them out and check how they sound.
